City Council meetings in April will be held virtually in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To help protect the health and safety of the community, City staff have devised multiple ways for the public to participate remotely in City Council meetings before and during the live meeting.
Public comment prior to a meeting
Members of the public interested in providing comments to the City Council prior to a meeting should send an email to heidi.heller@littlecanadamn.org.
Written public comments will be compiled and delivered to all City Council members.
Public comment during a meeting
Members of the public who wish to comment during public comment periods will be asked to join the meeting on the Zoom webinar platform. Meeting attendees should click the raise hand button during the appropriate comment period to alert city staff that would like to comment. Individuals will be recognized and their microphones will be enabled allowing them to comment.
To register to virtually attend a meeting, visit https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_UylHVWRsRUynueFznNW14w or click on the City Calendar on the homepage. Zoom meeting information will be posted in the calendar notification in advance of each meeting.
How to watch a meeting
Members of the public who do not intend to provide public comment but are still interested in watching a meeting are encouraged to do so via the city’s regular outlets. All Little Canada meetings are streamed live and available on-demand. Meetings are also televised on Comcast Channel 16 to Little Canada cable subscribers.
Ongoing updates
The City Little Canada’s decision to conduct April City Council meetings virtually is being done as a community mitigation effort designed to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). City officials are continuously monitoring and assessing the status of the pandemic locally and following the guidance of the state health officials regarding the potential for future changes to city operations and activities. Please check the city’s COVID-19 website at www.littlecanadamn.org/coronavirus often for the most current updates and information.
