Day 1 of the Medallion Hunt, brothers Ben and Aiden Dorn; and brothers Nick and Nolan Brunn walked around together in areas near their house to look on their own for the medallion. When the Day 2 clue came out they enlisted their mom to drive them to locations further from their houses. No luck that day either. On Day 3 after looking for half the day they decided to ask their neighbor, Gail Acosta, for her input. Gail joined the group and they searched for a few more hours with no luck.
The following morning Gail called right after the 4th clue was revealed and the crew planned to set out to hunt. They picked up Gail (who sweetly packed a cooler with snacks) and hunted until lunch. After lunch the boys searched with the help of Ben and Aiden’s mom, Jen; then the searched continued with the help of more neighbors and family. The clue using the words transformers and power had the group electrician set on it being something electrical. We had put several versions of the word "nut" in our bag of clues and focused on it being tall from the clue stand tall. As we were nearing our night of checking tall electrical poles we found the medallion!
The hunt brought together a young group of boys, their neighbors and family providing days filled with fun and excitement.
The Medallion was found in Thunder Bay/West ind Park. We hope you all enjoyed hunting for the Medallion. Thanks to North Heights Hardware Hank for sponsoring this event.
